4D Theater

The 4D theater at Henan Science and Technology Museum is located on the underground first floor of the north wing of the building. The screen size is 15×8.5 meters, with approximately 150 seats. The 4D theater is developed based on the foundation of 3D cinema. Compared to 3D theaters, it introduces special effects such as vibration, falling, blowing wind, water spraying, itching, and leg sweeping into the cinema. It also carefully designs effects like smoke, rain, light and electricity, bubbles, and scent according to the scenes in the film. This creates a unique experience where the audience can have a full sensory experience of sight, sound, touch, and smell while watching the 4D film.

IMAX Theater

The IMAX theater of Henan Science and Technology Museum is located on the underground first floor to the first floor of the north wing of the building. The screen size is 26×14 meters, with a seating capacity of 600. It adopts the CINITY cinema system, which is independently developed with intellectual property rights in China. It integrates seven latest technologies including 120 frames per second, 4K resolution, 3D, high dynamic range, wide color gamut, high brightness, and immersive sound. This comprehensive enhancement improves the overall audio-visual quality, with features including clearer images, more vibrant colors, smoother motion, more coherent action, and more realistic sound. The basketball court-sized screen extends the peripheral vision of the audience, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in a new viewing experience where "every detail of the image is visible". With specially designed 3D glasses, the screen produces stunning stereoscopic effects, creating a strong visual impact on the audience and stimulating their desire for exploration and knowledge, enabling them to enjoy a visual feast brought by technology.

Flying Theater

The Flying Theater at Henan Science and Technology Museum is located on the underground first floor of the north wing of the building. It features a 13-meter semi-spherical screen and has 24 flying cabins. The Flying Theater combines unique motion seats with dome-screen films and a seven-channel surround sound system to provide an immersive viewing experience for the audience. It is particularly suitable for showcasing grand and breathtaking aerial scenes and content related to soaring through the skies. During the viewing process, the audience will experience a sense of weightlessness during rapid descents and an exhilarating feeling of quickly traversing through canyon abysses, allowing them to experience an unparalleled sensation of soaring through the air. Currently, the theater is under construction and we look forward to its completion.

Cosmic Astronomy

The exhibition hall uses the space inside and outside the sphere building to show the universal unity composed of space, time, matter and energy, and to show the operation law of cosmic celestial bodies and the astronomical achievements of human exploration of the universe, so that the public can intuitively feel the vastness of the universe, experience the wonderful mystery of space and lead the public to establish a scientific view of the universe.

Starry Sky Restaurant

The tea restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and primarily focuses on western-style simple meals. It promotes the concepts of health, speed, safety, and delicacy, and offers fast food services such as western-style meals, various types of coffee, and exquisite iced drinks. The meals are varied in style, colourful, and delicious.

Lobby

The preface hall is located in the center of the first floor of the venue, which plays an effective role in organizing various functional areas. There is an audience service center in the preface hall, which can provide all-round and whole-process audience services, including basic services such as on-site inquiry, voice broadcast, goods storage, rental service, lost and found, and tracing assistance.

Commodities/Catering

The restaurant is adjacent to the "Cosmic Astronomy" exhibition hall, providing fast dining service for the public after visiting. The restaurant has a beautiful and comfortable environment, providing cold meals, fast food, tea snacks and other kinds of catering.

Homeland of Animals

With more than 400 specimens of rare wild animals donated by Mr. kenneth behring, Chairman of the American Global Health and Education Foundation as the main body, the exhibition hall adopts the design methods of immersion, three-dimensional and scene reproduction to display the world wild animals and their ecosystems in combination, which will arouse people's exploration, awe and care for the magical nature, think about and actively participate in the construction of a harmonious relationship between man and nature.

Dome Theater

The dome theater of Henan Science and Technology Museum is located on the upper part of the atrium sphere building. The screen has a diameter of 23 meters and accommodates 301 seats, making it the first large dome theater in Henan Province. In the dome theater, popular science films are projected onto the huge inner surface of the sphere, with a silver screen covering the audience hall, creating a sensation of being surrounded by the sky. The high-definition and oversized dome-shaped image exceeds the audience's field of vision, providing an extremely realistic immersive experience. With high-definition images and high-fidelity sound system, the dome theater showcases special films and celestial materials, delivering visual and auditory enjoyment to the audience.

Dream Paradise of Children

The exhibition hall is aimed at children aged 1-7. According to their physical and mental characteristics and cognitive ability, the exhibition hall follows the educational concept of "doing and playing with middle school", encourages children to take the initiative to participate, choose freely, use their hands and brains, stimulates their creativity, curiosity and interest in learning, and gets scientific enlightenment in the atmosphere of perception and play.

Creation and Innovation Space

The exhibition hall is aimed at teenagers aged 7-18, aiming at comprehensively cultivating and improving their innovative thinking methods and creativity. It adopts STEAM science education mode, and combines maker education with school education according to the concept of interactive experience, exhibition and teaching, hands-on practice, shared performance, scientific evaluation and cyclic improvement, so as to cultivate teenagers' comprehensive ability of multi-angle and interdisciplinary problem solving and provide extracurricular activities space for them to innovate, share science and grow up happily.

The exhibition hall is titled "Where are we from? Who Are We? Where are we going? " In order to show the context, this paper explains the development process of human beings from the origin of life, gradually adapting to the environment, exploring nature, transforming nature and then living in harmony with nature around "wisdom" The exhibition hall combines the Yellow River civilization with Henan characteristics, and uses diversified display methods to let the public feel the mystery of human life and the civilization created by human beings in the experience, and think about Community of Shared Future for Mankind's responsibility and responsibility.

Artificial Intelligence (under construction)

With the theme of "AI, Walk with You", this exhibition hall shows the imagination, birth, development, maturity and thinking of artificial intelligence and its wide application in all walks of life around the basic theory and key technologies of artificial intelligence, so that the public can experience the achievements of artificial intelligence in life, work, medical care and other fields, feel the convenience and challenges brought by artificial intelligence, and imagine the future of artificial intelligence.

Traffic World (under construction)

The exhibition hall focuses on the technical development, technical achievements and related scientific connotations of human beings in the field of transportation through the ages, and takes the model of China Space Station as the core exhibition item, highlighting the flying mission of China manned space flight. At the same time, it also shows the development process of various means of transportation and technology, so that the public can understand the continuous progress of science and technology and the great changes it has brought to human life, and inspire the public to imagine the future traffic infinitely.
